Mission of the Broadband Forum

The Broadband Forum is an extended civil initiative and a negotiation forum that points beyond the public sector, industry and the service providers, the members of which feel responsible for extensively spreading good quality broadband services, creating the balance of supply and demand and make every effort in order to put an end to the obstacles in a way to strengthen competition, enabling the chance to equality and pursuing the country’s socio-economics development.

Within the frameworks of its operation, the Broadband Forum is aspiring to evoke such projects that can promote the above causes. These efforts are further harmonised through the relevant organisations operating in the Brussels headquarters of the European Union, supporting the EU notification processes of the Hungarian projects.

GOALS FOR 2010-2015

It is the objective of the Broadband Forum to make up for Hungary’s present backlog that can be seen in the Broadband Performance Index, published annually by the European Commission, and help the country catch up with the first line EU member states.
